Rehearsals are now well underway for Rodgers and Hammerstein’s classic musical OKLAHOMA! at Sierra Repertory Theatre, located in the beautiful Sierra Foothills of California. Rodgers and Hammerstein’s first collaboration, OKLAHOMA! created a new standard for musical theater. Set in the Western Territory just after the turn of the century, the high-spirited rivalry between the farmers and the cowboys provides a colorful backdrop for the love story of handsome cowboy Curly and winsome farmgirl Laurey, with Heather playing Laurey’s feisty, fiery Aunt Eller. The beloved score includes ‘Oh, What A Beautiful Mornin” and ‘People Will Say We’re In Love.’
